Keyhole Kid

keyhole kid

She wasn’t afraid

but she was alone

the house was empty

nobody home

She didn’t get angry

she didn’t have to cry

she didn’t even question

that she’s alone at 5 and why

It’s hard to find a window

that opens kind of wide

even for a little person

to end up safe inside

So she huddles on the step

trying to keep warm

wishing, hoping someone comes

before all curtains are drawn

Now it starts to quietly rain

and it’s getting rather dark

So she starts to walk down the road

towards Alberta Park

We never knew what happened

to that little girl alone

I just know she’d still be here

if someone had been home…

  1. Greetings from Florida! I’m bored to death at
work so I decided to check out your website on my iphone during lunch break.

I love the info you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home.

I’m shocked at how quick your blog loaded on my phone
.. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyways, very good
    blog!

  2. I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog.
Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?

Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one today.

    • Thanks luv – breaks my heart to know this happens so often and only after the fact are those children suddenly “precious” and the last thing a parent remembers is that they said “I love you” sorry but alot of that is BS! (sorry – I don’t want to offend anyone but it really really pisses me off – as you can tell lol)
