Society is Crumbling

Crumbling society

If we don’t talk about it

and share it

We’ll never be aware

of it

Don’t just say something

think nothing

Do it –

It can be humbling

If we don’t change

what’s going on

learn to sing

some other song

things just stay very wrong

Society is crumbling

  1. I feel like some of us are not brave enough to change things around us but the more we talk about it the more we inspire ourselves to bring about change. So thumbs up👍👍 to you for telling it as it is.

  2. Yes things are a changing. We are a society in flux. Chaos and upheaval with tiny little islands of stability here and there. We are living in a Decadent Age awaiting to see what all these technological transformations coming about will do to us lol. Maybe that is why I can identify with Baudelaire so much and is weird that I just blogged about him before reading yours.

    • Exactly! You would think we would have advanced from the shouting matches… We keep repeating the same thing with the same negative reaction, thinking it will change 🤔 I thought we were smarter than that!! 🙂

  3. Sir Winston says, from the blog “Gilmours Nice Place”, that purrrhaps societies were always “crumbling” because change, whether we like it or not, will always happen. Mr Midnight adds that “change” is the only certainty in life. I believe that if societies do indeed crumble it is most likely only because society loves sticking to its rigid procedures, ignoring the fact that life is actually, always on the move. Best of greetings from my two “lads” and myself here in the magical Black Forest. 🙂

    • Haha! Thank you lads 🙂 I guess the crumbling effect can be perceived in so many ways – intended was more in the sociological perspective of anomie, mores, values – I think you hit the nail on the head that nothing is still or stagnant in life – thank dog, but kindness, care and an awareness or respect for fellow earthlings should not be considered procedures ( Just being “da debil’s abvocate” ;)) I know eXaCtLy what you meant 🙂

    • Hahaha! Sorry – i have just been to your blog – didn’t realize you were talking about ThEEee Sir Winston, I thought you meant the “Bulldog”! How ironic is that – a cat named after a man who was named after a dog …..Anyway, loved your blog – please thank Sir Winston and Mr Midnight for their valid input – and as I unsuspectingly surmised, perspective! 🙂

      • Glad you liked our “purrrspective”. I`ve learnt from “the lads” that´s it´s nice to do things ones own way in life (the path to satisfaction and happiness) and that is why most things we do over here is often the opposite of what most deem as being the correct way. Naturally, we respect how others wish to go about things but the only true path in life is to go ones own way. That´s how Sir Winston managed to be named “Sir Winston” even though he´s a cat. He doesn´t seem to have a problem with that. All the best and we hope we haven´t confused you too much.

  4. We think we make progress, but we can’t see that round a few corners is a dead end. We can only climb so high before we eventually come tumbling down 🙂 all empires fall.

  5. Haha, once again the round metal thingy has been hit squarely on top by the heavy metal thingy. You are smart enough to know that change happens but if we don’t like it we can change it further. We have to start with the man in the mirror, but a small change there can be multiplied out and give rise to a beautiful tomorrow.

  6. LOVE this! I agree with you 100% So often we wish for things in our society to change, but do we ever do any actions to make the change? We need to be more “doers” and less “wishers.”

    • YES! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Sometimes it’s easier to do nothing and harder to do the right thing – but if you have integrity you can only do what is right – bless you for your insight, I hope you will share it with others 🙂 (pretty sure you do already lol)

    • We don’t have to be either – but it’s hard work and often people are not prepared to swim against the norm 😦 if my words inspire one just to stop and look around, that is fricken awesome! 🙂 Thanks for your comment and for stopping by! 🙂
