Does it sting?
Can you feel
my hate
my anger
blistering at you?
Inflamed and furious
that not even the
Herculean strength of my own
sanity will tie it down
My bitterness seeps out
of my pores
leaving a trail of
achingly sad tearful
nights and aimless lonely
days
Does it sting?
Can you feel me
loathing you from afar?
My hate for you is so
giant – it has to be visible
surely you can feel this
surely you know I am hating you
betrayed by you, unforgiving
of you – surely….
What do you mean, he’s got another girlfriend?

Hatred is about passion for what we don’t like.
It’s still an important energy tho 😊

It is, but often a useless energy more than anything….I wrote this thinking about the people who cannot let go and leave it alone. People scratch cars, contact workplaces, cut up clothes, leave millions of messages, stalk….it’s just fricken crazy! Who wants to force someone to be with them who doesn’t want to be with them? And when has that ever worked successfully😁? Walk away with your dignity intact, I say🌻🙂☮️

Hate is such a powerful emotion, funny how we hold onto it to feel some kind revenge, but while we hold onto it we damage ourselves and our journey of growth.

Absolutely…we only realise this when in reflection unfortunately!!🙂🙏

Love the imagery of ‘not even the Herculean strength of my own sanity will tie it down’ like a rabid Cerberus.

Hating someone is like holding the burning coal in your hands and expecting the other to burn….

Absolutely, I used to use the gun analogy – you’re holding the gun to your own head and expecting it to shoot someone else! But I think the coal analogy may come in handy 🙂 thank you!

So true, festering hatred isn’t just pointless it stops us from enjoying what we have.
