In the neighbourhood
it’s not so good
people get hurt
nearly every day
And even if you knew
who did it
you could never say
In the neighbourhood
it’s not so good
that’s where the body lay
Where his Mama cried
where others had died
And all the community
could do
was pray

Love the beat of the words, the rhythm sounds threatening…fear and violence hiding behind the cosy word ‘neighbourhood’. Clever words read to a rhythm most have to live with like you say. Another excellent price of poetry. You are a master!

Oh great! Yes, I have a rather dark side as well lol 😁 You will find some on serial killers, suicide, bullying etc… all that stuff too!Hope you like 🙏🙂
