What I want to believe Real Women want

what i want to believe real woman want

I’m quite happy being a Woman

I don’t want to be a Man

I don’t want to scratch my nuts

or take out the trash can

I don’t understand the confusion

about the Man and Woman sequel

Of course we are very Different

Different, but still very Equal

I am proud to be the Carer

The Fantastical Giver of Life

the gentle softness of

a safe place to fall

When you return from

a hard days’ fight

My Man, the strong Protector

The Bringer of that Life

who will be Honoured to care for me Truly

and with Pride

would call me his Wife

  1. Love the poem. People can be whoever they want to be as long as they don’t expect the rest of the world to change and fall in with their briefs. As far as I’m concerned, if a man wants to wear a dress, he can, but he has to use the gents’ loo and not enter the ladies.

  2. Last time I checked I was a real woman and none of that interests me in the slightest. Expectations of women to uniformly want the same thing are dangerous, as is labelling those who do not conform as “not real”! Cute poem though! Im glad you found your beloved.

  3. With the lobbying of Gender Neutrality ushered in through the adorable whores of social engineering – education, government, media, entertainment, cultural anarchists/revisionists – I’m so glad I never had to pick a gender growing up. I may have chosen incorrectly. I no longer have a grasp on what it is to be a Male today. So, I go back to just being a man (as designed, ca 1962), which is a compliment to a woman. And vice versa. Then I sleep at night. Fabulous post, Kait.

  4. As always hitting the nail firmly on the head. That makes you special and deserving of fame (some people get famous for doing nothing, others deserve it for being brilliant) may you continue to be blessed with the ability to teach through your poetry. Kait, much love to you for being strong, kind and beautiful may your days be filled with joy and laughter and the pain be bearable xoxo

    • You’ll see it around more – I have 200 something poems I schedule and just add to – you know you don’t have to read them again just because they turn up in front of you? And you’re not alone in noticing this, no – but definitely alone in pointing out the obvious though lol – thanks!
