I so wish
I could have
been a better mum
But he still loves me
anyway
I see the photo
next to me
Colors blue and grey
you and I
Not much to spend
but time
and he still loves me
anyway
I feel I may have
failed you in
too many ways
to count
In spite of that
you are a beautiful
soul
and you still love me,
anyway

Very nice poem. Unconditional love is hard to find, but when it is found it feels amazing.

So true. As a mother now myself I can feel this guilt. As a daughter, I can say that it wasn’t the quantity I longed for, but the quality time. And it isn’t always just the parents who gave unconditional love… children too.

I have a friend who studied child psychology and she said there is a school of thought known as the good enough mother. Basically, it means that if you get your child to the age of 18 and theyβre still alive, then youβre doing well. I like that school of thought because then everything I do thatβs feels like a bonus π

I can empathize, as a parent we always feel like we have failed to some degree or never given enough. But there is always the love that never goes away.

That’s so true and I’m so grateful for that between both parent and childβΊ

Pure love and pure souls never go apart. They’re there beside you, they’re there for you anytime, anywhere. Eternal love is a pure feeling which never goes away. Great post….

Just to add onto the Psychology of love, Iβve mentioned it in a detailed manner in my article: Psychology of Love: An Eternal Feeling. I would love to know your views on that. Hereβs the link: http://thesoultalks10.com/psychology-of-love/
