My Superpowers: I’m the Invisible Guest

There’s an empty

bottle on the table

A lonely shoe

left on the floor

A dress flung on

the back of a chair

A damp towel hangs

on the door

There’s a shadow

in my bed and

I guess that must be me

I am the Invisible Guest

in my house

as far as I can see

I float over to my bed

to see the shadow

tucked in deep

You would never

think I was dead

I look like I’m asleep

No one knows

I’ve gone yet

No one knows

I’ve left

I’m sad to leave

my family

crying and bereft

But there’s a light

shining for me

I’m ready to walk

in to

if there’s everything

I’ve forgotten,

I’ll remember

I loved you.

    • You are not unwanted. A Monster has told you stories for so long you’ve started to believe them…scrap his poor, harmful words and write a new chapter, no…a new BOOK with your own words!πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒ»

      • No, it’s just been covered up by listening to the monster’s bullshit for so long. The only regret you should have from now on is that you didn’t leave sooner. Plan this, it may take a while to save, plan and prepare…but start with a goal in mind to leave. I told nobody…I just ran away with my baby…the most important thing. And have never looked back…

      • These things will ALWAYS take priority when the priority needs to be your safety and a life worth living. Start planning…this is your last effort, make it count for you and your kids. Talk to local services, to women who have left in difficult circumstances. But make a step, take a step towards freedom and to showing your kids what life should be. Preparation takes time but take comfort knowing it means escaping this in the end, even if it takes another year but not a day more wasted on treading water and giving up. Fight for your kids and for yourself, you deserve better

      • Thank yourself and the Universe…it has a weird way of making things coincide! You have all the work to do now, but I hope you feel empowered and ready to take on the world…it is yours to have, y’know. Go get some, and show your little ones a happy mommy life too. Know I’m an email/WP message away if you need a boost but I’m sure if you talk honestly to family and mean what you say, they will support you. You may have to take a couple of first steps alone to prove to them you’re serious. But they may well sense a change in you now anyway! All the very very best to you and yours πŸ™‚πŸ₯°
