The springtime excitement

in the fluttering

beating wings

of the bird of love

in my heart

making me think

on these things

The way I toss

my hair

the way I touch

my clothes

the way I brush

your arm

everybody knows…

I see you

looking at me

with

your intense

sparkly eyes

I know

what you’re thinking

but it is you

I choose

with your tough outside

and your inside –

so soft and warm

I know I’m so safe

With you

If nothing else

Is true

I will never come

to any harm
