I Will Not Carve You In Stone

I will not carve you in stone

I trace the shape of you

with my eyes

with my hands

with my lips and tongue

I trace the shape of you

in my mind

in my heart

in my very being I let you sit

I trace the shape of you but

will not carve you in stone

The shape of you moves

the shape of you changes so

I will not carve you in stone

Anyway, Any way

Anyway Any way

I so wish

I could have

been a better mum

But he still loves me

anyway

I see the photo

next to me

Colors blue and grey

you and I

Not much to spend

but time

and he still loves me

anyway

I feel I may have

failed you in

too many ways

to count

In spite of that

you are a beautiful

soul

and you still love me,

anyway

My Uncensored Friendship With Words

Uncensored friendship by vector_spider_web_design_background_graphics_544178

It’s like

an unsticky web

how things

fall into my

head

Nothing ever

really gets

filtered out

Thoughts are

thrown at me

in a shout

Yeah, it is

pretty clear

something’s going

on here

Each inky

black thought

casting

immeasurable doubt

It even surprises

me

with the words

that I spout

Who wrote

those things?

Evil awful

creepings

Friends ask

Where on Earth

did you find

this out

Why would

you write such

horrid things

It gives pause

for thought

and doubt

Quiet As A Mouse

I look into

your face

of Evil

You choke

me out

twice

You carry

a kill pack

at all times

You may need

a knife

to slice

It takes

a certain

kind of person

to feel at

home in

a stranger’s

house

You creep

around

the sleeping

hound

as quiet as

a mouse

Your glinting

blade

catches the

light

from a night

lamp

in a little

boy’s room

You stand

and watch

him breathing

while hiding

in the

gloom
