Giver are the ones who are kind and does not require anything in return. The takers are the ones that are cruel and ruthless and would do anything to take something from you and keep taking for their own amusement.

You can’t blame the bullies either as they are often the victims of abuse too, but they are not able to see this themselves

What separates the two? How do you know if you’re a taker or a giver?

I think you know…😉

Yes, I think you know too, but I still wonder. I like to think I’m a giver, but to someone else, I may be a rude, obnoxious thief! At least, I hope not! Ha, ha.

😂 oh Brian – I don’t think so. But you may be right! Some may think I’m outspoken, opinionated and rude! I guess the real question here is: do we really care what they think 😁

If there are no takers where will the givers of this world go?

Even god may be selfish…by taking some things from ours…!!! We are just a humans..

Exactly… Perhaps there is no god and this is just how life is. Things are given and taken away…. Perhaps this is already a hell? Very interesting topic! Thank you 😊

Hey I think I have found what you were talking about – the phrase: “There are two kinds of people in the world…” Many, many of us have used that line to start the statement – it’s what lies after this clarification that holds the originality from what I can see. The typical saying is the takers and the givers but is linked to the eating and sleeping saying. The world is full of takers and givers, I just had a slightly different definition of what I think is taken or given! 🙂 Not sure this will make sense to you but in my head it worked out! Lol 🙂 Didn’t have a chance to hunt down the “How I met your Mother” episode – although I love them all, I just don’t have the time! 😉 I googled the saying instead and I couldn’t find my turn of phrase as it is….fingers crossed! 🙂

Haha..Well, definitely it made sense to me and I really appreciate the effort you made for reaching out to the depth. I actually refreshed my memory and I found that it’s the “Reacher and the Settler theory”(ooopps..!!). So, sorry for bothering you with incorrect information but I really like what you write.
You won! :p

Don’t let it distract you or eat you up – but yes, it just is that way…acceptance of things we can’t change gives us the freedom to move forward and experience more – which is why I think we’re all here in the first place 🙂 Fill up your soul 🙂 Peace, love and light to you!

I’ve learned I was more taker and now I try to focus on giving…but I’ve also learned to receive gratefully as well

Oh that is awesome jdawg! Yessss, this is the lesson I’m learning, receiving help and asking for it – it’s a humbling experience when one has always been the fixer, helper, giver! But a lesson to be learned 🙂
