New to blogging, have’nt posted my writings yet. Very inspired by your poems with simple words and deep meaning. I always try to put heavy words so I’m more relieved and less understood. Any suggestions mam?

Hi there and welcome🙂 thank you for your compliment! Well, I believe you may have answered your own question…perhaps to lighten up on the heavy words? There are often many words for just one thing or action, maybe try them out and see if something is easier to read. Writing should be cathartic and perhaps you need to write it all out until the relief is not so much needed but the healing can begin 🙏🙂

Absolutely and it’s very dependant on how I start, sometimes it rhymes and sometimes not. That’s the freedom of writing!🙂🙏😊

I agree with this fully! On the last publication I was involved in I got into a habit of over-using alliteration and rigid rhyme schemes to seem ‘desirable’. Recently though I’ve been taking rhyme out of the equation a lot more, and so many ideas have flourished because of it!

But it is not necessary to make it rhyme, I mean it’s always the thought which is the most important thing. What I try to do is, not to make the poetry look good, rather focus on the thought.
